About the Rookie League:
The aim of the Rookie League is to give experienced and inexperienced players the opportunity to play for their Clubs in a competitive team environment, whilst gaining valuable match and playing experience outside of their own Clubs.
The U14 League was introduced in 2007 & the U18 League was introduced in 2016.
Although the two age groups are separate competitions, the basic rules are the same. Teams will consist of four players and the intention is that whilst competitive, the Rookie League is also fun and friendly.
As of 2026, both the U14 & U18 Rookie Leagues will be limited to 20 Clubs and split into 4 zones consisting of 5 Clubs in each zone. The Clubs in a zone will play 4 matches, 2 home and 2 away drawn at random. These can be played in any order and are to be arranged by the Team Managers.
The two winning semi-finalists in each age group will then contest the finals.

Please note: The 2026 U14 & U18 Rookie League Semi-Finals and Finals will be played at The Drift Golf Club on the following dates:
Semi-Finals: Sunday 30th August
Finals: Sunday 6th September
