Purpose and Aim
Selection for the Surrey U18 Squads is a fantastic achievement and a key step in the pursuit of selection for national teams. Many of our U18 squad move on to US collegiate golf scholarship programmes. Surrey aim to support the boys through the transition, and will help where possible through our links with various agencies and players with previous experience.
Training
The squads take part in a guided training programme led by our Surrey Head Coach John Noble and James Winstanley. Training sessions take place throughout the year at our parnter facilities, both indoors and outdoors focusing on skills based challenges. We aim to create a enjoyable and competitive environment with a focus on statistics & results that underpin our selections process.

Matches & Competitions
There are numerous matches & competitions throughout the year at both County and National level. The main focus is around the South East Group (SEG) U18 League. To warm up for this the team play a 36 hole foursomes and singles match against Roehampton. All U18 players are encouraged to compete at the highest national individual competitions, such as England Golf's Carris Trophy.
