Surrey Golf
Surrey First Team are back in action.
The season opener for Surrey First Team in the South Eastern League took place on Sunday 8th June against Sussex at West Hill Golf Club. The course was playing magnificently so a massive thank you to Jack Cleaver and the rest of his team for all of his efforts presenting such a manicured course.
The morning foursomes ended 2-2 with the teams of Monty Holcombe and Nathan Woodham winning a nail bitter up the last as well as a strong performance from Will Dugdale and debutant Alastair Kinnaird saw them win their game 2 up.
The afternoon singles was tight throughout. With Nathan, Max O’Hagan and Will providing points in the afternoon this was sadly not enough as Sussex clutched up on the back 9 to earn a well deserved 7-5 win.
We look towards the 6-man trophy next and then onto our final leagues games against Hampshire and Kent respectively. As always a massive thank you to John Noble, Jim Christine and Simon Crocket for their continued support and efforts.
