David Basham

We are very sorry to announce the death, on Christmas Day, of our dear friend David Basham.

David was involved in Surrey and England golf for over 25 years, leading Surrey teams to National Championships and England teams at World Championships. He was a long standing committee member and Surrey President whose contribution to Surrey Golf was immense and without equal in this era. He served England Golf as both Board member and Chairman of the Coaching Committee.

David was a wonderfully modest man who did everything with grace and humour and he will be sadly missed by all involved with Surrey Golf.
