Rookie Tour Results from Cranleigh Golf Club
On Sunday 25th June the RookieTour returned to another of its regular venues, @cranleighclub, where the sun shone all day, in particular on George Oliver who made a hole-in-one on the 8th hole (see separate post for photo and George's description of the shot). Congratulations to George Oliver on making a Hole-in-One on the 8th hole @cranleighclub in the RookieTour on Sunday 25th June. Below is George's description of the shot:
"I took a 8 iron trying to land it short to roll on to the green because the flag was at the front. I placed my ball on to the tee one deep breath and then swung hard and true. I saw everybody watching in awe as the ball simply vanished into the hole. I have to say it's a great feeling and a great day to do it on."
George is the 10th player to get a Hole-in-One on the RookieTour since it began in 2007. Can he become the first player to make a second? He has until the close of the 2024 season to make RookieTour history.
