Martin Christmas - Past Surrey President

Martin was a Surrey Past President and avid supporter of Surrey Golf. He was an exceptional amateur golfer representing Great Britain and Ireland in the Walker Cup in 1961 and 1963, and the Eisenhower Trophy (World Amateur Team Championship) in 1962. In 1960 Martin entered the English Amateur Championship at Hunstanton without any great expectations only to lose the final on the 41st hole.

He had a reputation for being a tremendous ball striker, a generous partner and a charming dining companion.

Our thoughts are with his family at this time, he will be missed by us all.
