Bletchingley Golf Club duo Dean Laval and Barry French win the Kelso Hamilton Trophy

The final of the Kelso Hamilton took place on an unusually warm October day at Reigate Heath Golf Club between Farnham and Bletchingley Golf Clubs. The format is 4bbb match play and the teams were:

Farnham:                            Chi Ho & Chris Lee

Bletchingley:                       Barry French & Dean Laval

Alan Page County President started the teams off and joined them during the match, along with Surrey Referee Fulvio Angelelli.

As we have come to expect in Surrey Finals, the match was played in good spirits with some great golf shots on display. It was a tight game was a close one with Farnham 2 up at the turn. However, Bletchingley fought back and eventually won the match 2up.

Back in the clubhouse the players were greeted to a wonderful spread of sandwiches and cakes which didn't disappoint and disappeared rather quickly.

Alan Page presented the Trophy to the winners along with their whisky tumblers and the runners up with their tankards.

Thanks to Reigate Heath Golf Club for their hospitality and making us all feel so welcome.
