The competition shall be open to any mixed pair of individuals who are members of a club(s) who are affiliated to the Surrey Women’s County Golf Association and Surrey County Golf Ltd. Players do not need to belong to the same Club.

Both players must be 18 years of age or over on the 1st of January of that year’s knockout.

Stroke Indices are to be taken from the tees used by the women.

The maximum combined handicap Index is 44.0. Teams may exceed this limit but must play off 44.0. If the combined handicap index does exceed 44.0, then the player with the highest handicap index reduces their handicap index until the required limit of 44.0 is reached, there will be no exceptions to this rule.

The matches shall be played over 18 holes as match play foursomes’ knockout. WHS Playing Handicap allowance is 50% of the combined team handicap. The away team will receive one additional shot added to their playing handicap after all calculations have been applied. However, if any one of the ‘Away Team’ pairing is also a playing member of the home club, then no extra shot is given.

When a team consists of players that are members at two or more affiliated golf clubs, the team must nominate which course to play on, and that course must then be used for all home matches.

Team members may NOT be substituted once the first round has been played.
