Guildford Duo win the 2025 season finale

The final County Card Meeting of 2025 took place at a picturesque Walton Heath on Wednesday 26th November.

With overnight temperatures dropping below freezing the heathland courses looked like a Christmas card upon arrival but as the sun rose the players took to the course the frost began to lift and it became a perfect winters morning for golf.

The field was smaller than in previous years with just 44 players but within those 44 there were 4 current County Card Meeting Champions of 2025 so it was a high quality field if albeit a small one. The format remained the same, better ball stableford in pairs and two closest to the pins on the challenging 7th and 11th holes.

Winners as follows:

Nearest the pin on hole 7: Alan Jackson (Surbiton GC)

Nearest the pin on hole 11: Brad Allan (Coombe Hill GC)

3rd place on countback with 39 points: Conor Geary and Simon Ewing (Dulwich and Sydenham Hill GC)

2nd place with 41 points: Tommy Williams and Tommy Williams Jnr (Surrey Downs GC)

1st place with 43 points: Ben Hubbard and Ciaran Lynn (Guildford GC)

Well done to Ben and Ciaran!

Thank you to all for the contributions to the raffle which raised £280 for the Captains Charity.

Best wishes for the Christmas period. We'll see you in 2026!
