Congratulations to Surrey Senior County player Stephen Jensen on his selection to play for Europe against the USA in the Concession Cup, to be held at Valderrama this month.
Stephen’s selection is no surprise to Surrey Senior players, given his form for the County and his amazing record since joining The Wisley nearly 2 years ago.
Before joining Surrey, Stephen had been English Mid-Amateur Champion in 2017 but over the last 2 years his results have been nothing short of sensational.

2022 Selection for European Team in Concession Cup v USA
Inevitably this list doesn’t tell the whole story. In winning the West of England Stephen shot a stunning course record 63 at Burnham and Berrow and in reaching the quarter final of the US Senior (an experience Stephen describes as incredible) he qualifies automatically for next year’s event being held at Martis Camp, Lake Tahoe, California.
The Concession Cup is a match featuring mid-amateurs and seniors and has been held on 3 previous occasions 2014, 2016 and 2018. Until now the match was between USA and GB&I, however, on this occasion the team has been expanded to a full European selection, making Stephen’s inclusion even more praiseworthy.
