Harry Uzzell claims Colts Championship with Superb 135 (-5).
Thursday 15th was the Surrey Colts Championship, held at Croham Hurst Golf Club.
The field was slightly smaller than expected this year, but the level of player did not fall, and it looked to be a great competition.
There were some great scores in the morning, with the lowest from Harry Uzzell carding a wonderful 66 (-4). Close behind was John Ingham 70 (Level) and Alex Horn 72 (+2).
Players enjoyed a lovely Ham, Egg & Chips for lunch before heading back out onto the course to battle it out for the trophy.
With Harry four shots ahead, a decent round would surely secure him the victory.
With John hot on his heels, Harry dug deep and found himself -4 after the 16th. A slip up on 17 cost him 3 shots which brought his final score to 69 (-1) and a total of 135 (-5). This was enough to secure the trophy as John succumbed to a 73 (+3).
