Juniors Scratch Knockout Rules

Please ensure all results are sent to Sue via email to office@surreygolf.org including the knockout name, who the match was between and the result.

ROUNDS (home or away)

Round 1 - top player home
Round 2 - bottom player home
Quarter Final - top player home
Semi Final - bottom player home
Final - to be confirmed

To be eligible to compete in any Surrey County Championship a player must:

a. be of Amateur Status as defined by the R & A.
b. be a member of a Golf Club which is affiliated to Surrey County Golf Ltd.
c. not have taken part in a golf championship of another County affiliated to England Golf, have been coached by or represented another County affiliated to England Golf during the same calendar year.

All players must have a WHS Handicap Index.

The knockout will be played over 18 holes off scratch from the Medal Competitions tee of the day.

A Player must be 17 years of age or under on 31st December 2021.

Limited to 32 players, if the event is oversubscribed there will be a ballot on exact handicap index which will be carried out after the closing date.

Whilst it is the responsibility of the home player to offer three match dates it is BOTH players responsibility to ensure the match be played before the play by date of each round. No extensions will be given.

It is within the rules of the competition that the away player be offered a practice round, prior to the match, at a rate equal to or less than the members' introduced guest rate.

For the match home players should arrange courtesy of the course, if this is not possible the green fee is to be shared by both players.

Caddies are not permitted in any boys Junior Knockouts or Championships.
