Roy Matthews from Camberley Heath, still only 16 years of age, won the Surrey Colts Championship over a beautifully prepared Hindhead course, with fast, true greens and punishing heather, with consistent rounds of 71 and 70, both one under the CSS.
Nick Solomon from Richmond GC was runner up with scores of 76 and 67, beating Thomas Greenhalgh from St. Georges Hill who scored 75 and 68, only on countback.
Matthew Waters from Purley Downs scored his first hole-in-one at the 15th hole in the morning round.
