Surrey Talent Assessment Day is a Real Hit
Betchworth Golf Club was the setting for the first of two Talent Assessment Days run by the Surrey Golf Partnership. Boys and Girls from across the county had the chance to show off their golfing skills to County Coaches through a series of skills challenges.
38 juniors took part in the day. This was made possible due to funding from Sport England through the Club & Coach Fund, National Training Initiative. The second assessment day takes place at Hoebridge Golf Centre on 29th October. Those showing potential will be offered a place on one of the Surrey Futures Training Squads.
These training sessions will commence in January 2010.
Andy Tocher, Head Professional at Betchworth said,
“Junior Golf is and always will remain one of our top priorities at Betchworth. It has be a privilege for Betchworth to host the opening Talent Day. We wish the Surrey Futures programme every success in the future.”
