The beautiful West Surrey Golf Club was the venue hosting
this year’s Mid-Age Championships which comprise of an individual and a team
competition. The format is 36 holes medal for the individual Championship and
for the team event two nominated players from the same Club have both their
rounds to count towards the team score.
To ensure players of all aged have a County Championship to
play in the age range for this Championship was changed to 26 to 54 (on the day
of competition). This changed has proved to be a great success with a field of
45 players taking part, the most for several years and as word gets around the
numbers will most certainly grow for 2019.

Jacob Aaholm (Reigate Hill). A double County Champion, a feat achieved by very
The Team event was won by Reigate Hill’s Jacob Aaholm &
Ben Palmer with a combined score of 287, making Jacob a triple County Champion
for 2018! In 2nd was Craig Hodgson and Mark Davis of Guildford with
293 and in 3rd was Dominic Griffiths & Neil Williams with 303.
Our thanks to West Surrey Golf Club for hosting the
Championships and making everyone feel so welcome and presenting the course in such
