Surrey Club Championship 2018
Burhill New Course June 1st
As part of the 2018 Surrey Amateur Championship, Clubs who have 3 or more players entered can nominate a team of 3 to take part in the Club Team competition, this year eight Clubs entered.
The result is determined by using the 36-hole scores of each nominated player from the Friday qualifying day of the Amateur Championship.
Royal Wimbledon took third place with a score of 443 from the team of Mark Booker, Chris Kulukundia and Scott Pluthero. In second was the Addington Palace team of Charlie Crockett, Terry Nicholls and Harry Plowman-Ollington with a score of 440.
But the team of Callum Mackay, Lawrence Courtney and Max O’Hagan representing West Hill finished with a fine score of 431 to retain the Trophy they had won the previous year and now go onto the English Champions of Champions event in September.
Callum left holding the Trophy, as his team mates had already left to prepare for the Matchplay the day after!
